(Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen)
Upon completing Futuro ignoto (Unknown Future), Fr Philip Larrey's first book of interviews dealing with the impact of the new digital age, he never would have imagined that he would be sitting down with two key people of our time and having a conversation about the digital world. Eric Schmidt is Executive Chairman of Alphabet, Google’s parent company, and Jared Cohen is the head of Jigsaw, previously known as Google Ideas. Together they wrote the book The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business, published in 2013. Our conversation, which follows, took place in Rome before their meeting with Pope Francis in January 2016 in the Vatican.
